José Luis PASCUAL / Catalan Painter

LASELEC sponsored the José Luis PASCUAL exhibition organized for Christmas 2001, at the “Fabrice Galvani” Art Gallery in Toulouse. LASELEC participated at the edition of some lithographs, as well as special books printed on this occasion. LASELEC’s partners and customers were invited to participate to the private viewing of this exhibition and were able to meet the artist.

José Luis PASCUAL was born on the 21st April 1947, in Barcelona. In November 1970 he obtained a degree in architecture from the Superior School of Architecture in Barcelona.

From 1975 till 1986 he produced and published illustrations, lithographs, books, videos following the initiative of galleries in Barcelona, Madrid and Palma in Majorca.

Since 1986, the number of public orders of sculptures has significantly expanded, including; large mural portraits for sports stadiums, hospitals, the Olympic village in Barcelona, the international Olympic committee museum in Lausanne and other orders from councils, foundations, and industries in Palma in Majorca and in Catalonia.

Most recently, he collaborated with the director; Ventura Pons on the film ‘Testament’ and has gained trophies issued by the “Qué Leer” review for Spanish TV (1999, 2000, 2001).
