ANVAR - French Ministry of Research .Laselec, based in Toulouse, manufactures laser marking machines for aeronautical cable. The management team led by Managing Director Eric Dupont were formerly working for the specialist laser group, Thales Laser. In 2002 Laselec will introduce a new range of pulsed laser diode drivers as a result of its Research and Development programme. The Company employees include three laser specialists and it is the major or sole supplier for international companies such as Airbus, Eurocopter, Latelec, Eurofarad, Air France Industries etc.
Laselec has just won the 2001 competition organised by the French Ministry of Research and ANVAR, that was created to help new companies involved with innovative technology (previously reported in an article cf. MPS No 1334). This distinction recognises the achievement of implementing a successful research and development plan in the field of UV Laser cable marking. Laser cable marking has a specific application in the aeronautical, space, railway and automotive industries. This award will assist the Company in developing a new range of diode pumped UV laser markers.
